Great Britain Trials
Our FIG 11-16 Men’s Pair Craig Downie and Mitchell Smith have recently been invited by British Gymnastics to trial to represent Great Britian at the forthcoming Acrobatic World Championships in Flordia. This was based upon their recent performance at the British Tournament at Stoke-on-Trent.
This is a tremendous achievement for the boys and a true recognition of their talent and future potential.
City of Glasgow Gymnastics Club wish the boys the best of luck for the trials which will take place 4th - 5thFebruray (Loughborough) and 3rd - 4th March (Lilleshall)

In response to concerns from various quarters and to ensure that information can be disemminated as quickly as possible, a new Facebook page has been created – City of Glasgow Gymnastics Club. Please consider it a work in progress at the moment. Only committee members and coaches will be able to post but anyone can view the posts. This is to ensure that important information is not lost in a sea of posts.
Northern European Championships 2011
Congratulations to Cara Kennedy on her bronze medal on beam at the Northern European Championships, held in Uppsala, Sweden. Cara was one of four members of the Scottish Team from the City of Glasgow GC, to go to Sweden. Rob Keys, Douglas Ross and Liam Davie also made the Team, with Liam qualifying for the High Bar on the second day. A selection of pictures can be found in the gallery.
British Tournament 10th-11th December 2011
Craig Downie and Mitchell Smith will be competing at this years British Tournament. They will be competing in the 11-16 category. We wish them good luck from everyone at City of Glasgow Gymnastics Club.
